Ok this body of water is 50 acres and 35 meters or 115feet deep, it has been stocked with some of the finest quality of fish, and with over 20 years of stocking at this moment my estimate is that there are 10 different world records that can be taken at this lake it is set to change the fishing in bangkok let alone fishing in Thailand

There is the best quality and service that fishing in Bangkok can offer as this is in the heart of a 5 star private estate. We are testing the fishing at this moment and what a hard job this is, but some one has to do it.

We have landed Giant Mekong Delta’s, Paccu, Swai, and many others, that is nothing new in Thailand but the fact is that this lake has them at truly amazing size!

Now if you have read the catch reports then you understand the fact that Team Kiwi catch big fish, but this is the biggest challenge of my life, there are Giant Mekong’s in this lake that are thought to be pushing 140kg, and I believe them as I have watched the lake for days seeing monsters splashing water around and leaving Big Holes in the lake!

Ok so how do you catch a Giant Mekong Delta Catfish of that size on a rod and reel?
I personally don’t think it has been done before but I could be wrong on that, well that leaves the question of how are we planning to do it? We are combining some of the salt water with the fresh.

This means we are putting a fighting chair on the boat, and moving up to 80 lb rig and fighting them like marlin and tuna, Big Game Kiwi Style and yes that means there is a bar! But more on that one later.

We cannot list the species as things are being kept under raps for a while as we put the finishing touches on the package. But I will let you in on this, the lake has some of the best and as for the size, the fish are un-believable!!! The condition of the fish are a credit to the owners, they are just pristine.

This lake and area is truly amazing with some of the biggest fish I have ever seen in one body of fresh water, to be honest I am very nervous that these fish just might be too big to fight, the Giant Mekong is one strong fish and I have respect for the damage that these fish can do to fishing gear! But I know with some of the quality Anglers out there we will give it a good go!

There is also an interesting breed that is a Giant Mekong Delta crossed with the Swai Catfish, I have been told that it only grows to 100kg, but I landed a 35 kg fish and it was one hard running fish. I was fishing my fathers rod as it seems to be lucky, a Shimano Bait Runner 4500 on a Pen Power Stick, not my most favourite type of reel, but its lucky! Well this fish nearly spooled me it was scary to see the run as it was like a Tuna run, hard and fast, running deep then coming up, I used a very slow action on the fish and was surprised that I landed it. This cross breed is one fantastic fighting fish I was surprised to see its speed and power, it was like the Giant Mekong in second gear instead of first!
These fish have never seen a hook, it is one of the most natural eco-systems that you could imagine the perfect lake, mixed with so truly Top Class surroundings. Like the name of this story, A Fisherman’s Paradise!
