Photo Magic
Photo magic is one name for stuffing your fish in the camera and standing as far back as you can!
Hard to believe this is a small fish! 2.5kg but I thought I would show some people how easy it is to take good pictures and how to take bad pictures as I have a few of those in the albums, as they say the camera make you gain 20 pounds, but the fish seem to loose 20kg!
Now in this shot you can see me stuffing the fish in the camera, but other shots it can be harder to spot and the fish just looks HUGE. I have seen shots that have had me laughing. Yeah it looks good, but can you see a bend in the arms holding the fish? can you see the arms? Look at the fingers and hand holding the fish then think of the size of the fish.
Photo Magic is in most sites I visit, some are just a "good" shot others are plain to see that there has been some "Photo Magic" and the fish is a good 2 feet in front of the person. it is hard to put forward a god representation of a fish but I like to think that if you blast away with the digital camera then you will find the ones that represent your fish.
Here at Kiwi Fishing you will see a good representation of what we land, there will be some "good" but I hope that we never put forward a "photo magic" fish and claim a landing :-)

These photos are the same fish but as you can see they look different! Just by adding a bit of angle you can see that the fish gains depth, you get a better impression by giving the brain a 3D affect as in the first Photo you have no idea of the depth of the fish so you cant decided on the weigh.
The second photo is the better representation of the size of this fish.

This Photo many would be proud of it even features in the Bung Sam Ran promotion Video, But to tell the truth I am gutted that I messed up with the angle shot as this fish looks long and thin, what you don’t see is that it has the widest head I have ever seen on a Giant Mekong Delta Catfish, I can say that this fish lost 20kg in the picture, as there is no depth to the fish and that is where this fish was packing it's kilos!
